Matthew tries to get a drug dealer to spot him drugs. Romulus intervenes and the dealer threatens him. Matthew tells Romulus there is a video of Leppenraub torturing Scotty prior to his death. So Romulus goes to the library to read about him, where he talks to Sheila, a hallucination of his ex-wife--she tells him he isn't a detective. Then the librarian tells him he can't sleep in there and has to leave. But before Romulus goes, he sees a man he knows photographed with Leppenraub, someone from his Juilliard days named Arnold. Romulus calls him on a pay phone. He says Leppenraub is a friend of his. He asks if he can perform at a benefit that Saturday that Leppenraub will be attending.
