The thing eats Henrich. Sam and the others shoot it. Then they try and burn it by tossing gasoline on it and throwing a flare. The thing erupts into flames; they put the flames out. Halvorson brings the creature inside to examine it, despite Sam's reservations. When they examine the burned remains; Halvorson cuts it open with Kate assisting in the autopsy. They find a man encased inside it. They think he was being digested.
