Walter and Brandon fly to Puerto Rico. In the airport, Walter has a major heart attack. Walter tells him he loves him. Brandon says he loves him too. But then Walter reveals it was a joke; Brandon is really angry. Walter did it to prove to him that you can never go too far. They meet with the famous gambler, Mr. Novian, and he makes him an offer. For $250k up front and 10% of whatever he wins, Brandon will pick his bets.
