Jeff waits in the car in the woods, while Darius knocks on Kenneth's door. The door pushes open and she enters. The house is very old fashioned and minimal. She finds a room full of books, radios, and a drafting table with plans. Kenneth keeps looking out the window through the curtains. Darius is frustrated with Kenneth's plan and the idea of time travel. Jeff notices the investigator's black car behind Kenneth's house and runs in to warn them. Kenneth panics and runs out of the house and in the forest.
