The initiates are woken up by Four and taken to the Pit for warrior training. Four and Eric explain that the transfers will be trained separately from the born Dauntless, but will be ranked together. At every stage of training, the lowest people will be dropped from the group and will be forced to live the rest of their days faction-less. The initiates are shocked and a little scared to hear this.
