Some of Murphy's men are tracking the Regulators when they are ambushed by them. Billy want to kill the men, but Dick says they're taking them to jail. Billy thinks he sees McCloskey communicate with Murphy's men, he accuses him of being a spy. Dick tries to calm things down. Billy shakes McCloskey hand, seemingly in truce, but then shoots McCloskey. Murphy's men try to escape, Chavez kills one by throwing a knife into his back and the Regulators shoot the rest, even though Dick yells for them to hold their fire. Realizing that they're brought the full wrath of Murphy down on their heads, Dick tells everyone to go up the river. Dick tells Billy to simmer down, he isn't Robin Hood. Doc is affected by the deaths and removes his hat to pay respects to the men before riding out. horseback
