The Regulators go to a party in town. John talks business with a lawyer Alexander McSween while the Regulators drink, dance and try to talk to women. John wants to know if Alex can get him a meeting with the governor. Alex tells him that Murphy already has the governor in his pocket. John vows not to give up anyway. Doc takes a liking to and dances with Yen Sun, Murphy's ward. Billy introduces himself to Pat Garrett. Realizing that Doc is one of John's men, Murphy claims Yen Sun and tells Doc a threat for John. Alex clues Doc into the fact that Yen Sun is Murphy's sex slave. One of Murphy's men tries to fight John, Steve steps in and beats the man up.
