Munro leads his forces through the woods. Magua's men ambush them. Hawkeye gets out of his restraints; he runs through the fighting to get to Cora. Indians kill lots of British. Magua cuts out Munro's heart. Hawkeye reunites with Cora and kills a man trying to hurt her. Cora and Hawkeye make an escape in canoes with Chingachgook, Uncas and Alice. Duncan is out on the water with his own canoe. Magua's men pursue them.
