A kid rides a snowmobile, it stalls out; he's stuck. Then a yellow car tries to park on a Vegas street and the cops tell them to move; Jerry is there on a stake out. He goes inside a casino and it isn't a stake out after all: it's a surprise party for him. Meanwhile, the kid stuck in the snow witnesses a strange Native American drifter making a run from something through the snow. The drifter gets into a pick up truck and speeds away. Jerry's co-workers give him a ticket to go on marlin fishing on vacation. The kid walks through the woods and finds a dead body. When Jerry hears they found the body of a girl, he convinces the cops to let him leave the retirement party to investigate--he's got 6 more hours left as a cop.
