Joe gives Kong the briefcase to deliver back to the club. The next day, he goes to a Buddhist Temple with Fon and lights a candle, donating money to the poor. At night, they go for a walk. Fon gives Joe a note that says she's happy. Men attack when Fon's not looking and Joe shoots them. When she turns around and sees that, she's horrified. Fon cries and then runs away from Joe. Back at his house, Joe looks at a picture of an elephant, reminded of Fon. He drives by her house and she closes the window. He burns the elephant picture.
