Guards drag a prisoner into the central area and beat him in front of the other prisoners. Prisoners confront Ray, and Ray breaks one's hand and punches him. Rottmayer orders the prisoners to back off. Rottmayer introduces himself and extends his hand to shake Ray's, but Ray says he's not in the mood. Rottmayer tells Ray a little about himself, but Ray is uninterested. Rottmayer warns Ray not to get killed.
