A mother and her daughter Alyssa wait for a subway train. Dangerous men come up and mug the mother--they shoot and kill her before they ride away on the train. Sgt.Craig comes up the subway platform to find out that his wife has been killed. Alyssa sees her father and jumps into his arms.
