Billy wanders through a fiesta in a daze. He dances with a woman and has sex. She promises to cook for him if he gets meat from the icehouse. Billy goes to get the meat unarmed. Waiting for him is Pat. Billy asks Pat to let him run to Mexico and just announce that he killed Billy. Pat declines because he believes Billy would not be able to resist coming back to the United States and Pat would be stoned for lying. Billy turns around, forcing Pat to have to shoot him in the back.
