Thaddeus shows the FBI agents the magicians' stage. He teleports Dylan to the bank vault in Paris and reveals it to be a set. Thaddeus explains how the magicians pulled off the bank robbery trick and conditioned Etienne to be a dupe. Over time, they followed Etienne, pulling sleight of hand tricks, hypnotizing him with con tosses and stealing his credit card. Thaddeus then describes how the magicians stole the money. In a flashback, the magicians are waiting in the armored truck the money is placed into. The thieves hide under the stacks of money as the truck drives through Paris at night, passing the Eiffel Tower. More robbers dressed as cops stop the truck. The driver is drugged via a shot and the robbers unloaded the money, replacing it with fake money. Later in the vault, the the fake money ignites, burns brightly for a few seconds, before burning out, seemingly causing it to vanish.
