At the diner, Truby talks to Teddy about how Claire wouldn't accept his gift. Teddy tells him he's got to accept it and move on. While Claire is trying to work, waiting on customers, Truby creates a scene trying to find out why she thinks he's smothering him. The cook comes out and tries to fight him and Teddy has to split them up.
