Ace gets in trouble with his mother for breaking his promise not to find animals. Ace tells her that he's tried all the hobbies, but he likes finding animals, he's good at it. A rapid montage of Ace trying various hobbies such as singing, the spelling bee and diving ensues. Ace questions his mom about his father, he wants to know if he's like him. Ace really misses having a father to talk over the feelings he's been having with. Melissa watches Ace eat from a dog bowl and finally snaps, she wants him to be normal like other kids.
