Sydney packs her things and leaves the Kappa house in the rain. Meanwhile at the Vortex, the dorks play cards. Noticing that Sydney's sitting outside, Lenny and Spanky go out to talk to her. Sydney doesn't have anywhere to go, having given up her dorm room when she pledged Kappa. They take her inside, invite her to stay with them and introduce her to everyone. The Vortex is decrepit and falling apart.
