At the last moment Sydney shows up at the diner with Lenny. Rachel and her cronies watch Sydney gustily eat pie and are disgusted. Sydney talks to Lenny who explains to her that the Vortex is a haven for misfit students. For having such an unsuitable date, Rachel picks Sydney to 'dash & ditch' Lenny. Sydney doesn't want to, but Rachel says she has to if she want to be a Kappa. Sydney tells Lenny to meet her in the bathroom as part of the pledge ritual. When he's in the bathroom, all the Kappas leave. When Lenny comes out, he's stuck with the dining bill.
