He looks at his watch and sees that it's cracked, just like it was the previous day. He asks her what she'd want to do if it was her last day on earth. She says she'd want to spend it with him; sharing things. Sam says if they open up to each other, then nothing can hurt them. Sam and Ian have sex in front of the fire.
