Samantha hails a cab. It's driven by the same cabbie Ian had earlier. Ian chases after her to get in the cab with her but as he's running, the cab is in an accident and Sam is seriously injured. She's rushed to the hospital. While they do surgery on her, Ian cries. He watches as Sam dies.
