In the middle of the night, Herman gets a phone call, it's Masha. She wants to know what happened to Herman. Herman tells her off, calling her a slut. Masha says that may her child be cursed if Leon is telling the truth and starts crying. Meanwhile, Yadwiga has woken up and crept into the hall.
