Josh's bullet wound needs first aid and the girl attends to it. They lay together in hay. Josh tells her he'll help get her out of the country. He loses consciousness and has flashbacks to when he killed the Muslim boy. When he wakes up that night, there's a sound of bombs and guns in the distance. The girl is missing so he drives after her. She's walking down the road. He tries to get her in the car, she refuses. But he says he promises to drive her home.
