Kemp goes back to Sanderson's for a party, but he's early. He looks through a telescope at Chenault and Sanderson having sex in the water. Then they come to shore where Sanderson flips out on some natives and tells them to get off his private beach. At the party, Kemp is asked by Sanderson's business associates to write some stories that will be favorable to their impending real estate deal. Sala picks Kemp up and driving home, he tells him he's in love with Chenault. They get lost so they decide to stop in a run down restaurant. Sala tries to order a steak, but the kitchen is closed and he causes a scene. The man Sanderson chased off the beach is there and Kemp and Sala have to flee to keep from being beaten up.
