Carter drives Doreen home. Carter notices the front door to Gloria's home is open. Once he's inside, shots are fired by two goons from upstairs. Then they disappear out of the window. Gloria's head is bleeding, but she's alive. Gloria thinks all this chaos that's been happening is cause of Carter's visit and asks if he could leave. Later that night, Carter is visited by Doreen at his hotel. She spends the night.
