The officials applaud Ender as he runs away, crying. Graff goes after Ender and Ender confronts him about lying to get him to kill an entire species. Graff says Ender will be remembered as a hero, but Ender says he will be remembered as a killer. Graff says all that matters is that they won, but Ender says the way they win matters. Ender is subdued by a soldier and a doctor injects a sedative into his neck.
