In class, a professor tells the kids that only Alai, Bean and Ender passed a test. Bean makes a joke and the professor reminds them that they are preparing for war. The professor asks the class a question, using hologram diagrams. She calls Ender to the front of the class to explain it, but Ender says Bean or Alai should do it instead. Alai explains the question instead. Bernard types a joke on his computer desk about Alai vomiting on the rocket and sends it to the rest of the class, making them laugh. Ender sends his own joke about Bernard.
