Ender arrives at Battle School, joining other kids on a large spaceship. Ender meets Bean, shaking his hand. Ender straps into his seat and the spaceship is launched. The kids adjust to zero gravity. Alai vomits into a barf bag, and the other kids react in disgust as the vomit floats around. Graff floats into the room horizontally, which Ender laughs at. Graff and Ender discuss why it's funny. Graff says Ender is the only kid with brains, causing the other kids to look at Ender.
