Helicopters fly silhouetted against the sun,then over the river and over the church. Father Dyer leads a prayer in an almost empty church, the noise of the helicopters is distracting. The police sweep the area with helicopters investigating the death of the Kintry boy, they've just found his body. His his mother cries. After the service, Father Dyer's student asks about a past death and dips his fingers in holy water before leaving. Father Dyer remembers the death, falling down stairs.
