An employee escorts the family to their room and says the area is completely booked for the holidays. The resort has only been open for a week. There was a confusion and the family is now staying not in the hotel, but out in a cottage. The boys explore the new and unused cottage. Henry says they are from Japan and move around a lot due to work. Maria tells the employee she is a doctor, but not working at the time. Lucas asks his mom for a soda, but everyone chimes in if thirsty to have juice or water. The family has dinner outside and then releases lanterns into the air with other guests before going to bed. A full moon hangs over the ocean.
