At a diner Alex wants to call Julie, but Brad advises against it, because Alex's face is in the system. Brad will call on his behalf. Brad calls the authorities instead and turns Alex in. The police show up, Brad is killed and Alex barely escapes in the alley. Police on motorcycles chase Alex. Alex manages to steal a motorcyle; he rides it back through the diner to escape the ambush. Alex rides through a checkpoint.
