Roy's a private eye in a black and white film noir; Helen's a dame in trouble. Mr. Spike gets a stat update, all the souls have been won except for the Knables. Pierce suggests that Mr. Spike take some time off and he be in charge. Darryl finds the channel with the noir starring his dad. He goes to tell Diane, who's in the backyard cheer leading with friends. They ignore Darryl's call to get away from the dish which is gearing up to suck someone else in. Darryl drenches them with the hose to get the girls to move. When Diane confronts him, Darryl shows her the noir starring their parents, finally Diane believes. Darryl begins to build some technology to help his parents. Meanwhile, there's a shootout at a nightclub, but Helen and Roy are given a remote control and escape.
