Darwin writes a letter to Emma that she reads in their field. Then he walks through the woods, thinking deeply. He sees some animals: a badger, some birds. Then he remembers a time when Annie was alive and he took the kids out into these same woods to watch a fox kill a rabbit. His daughter Etty cries. He hugs her. Annie explains that it's nature and calms Etty.
