Nathan and Jimmy spy on a cockfight. Charlie and Harlan have entered a bird. Claire is there and Resolved tries to kiss her, but she pushes him away. The sheriff raids the fight, but since Charlie's a lawyer, he convinces them to go away. The brutal cockfight goes ahead. Resolved's bird beats Charlie's. Edward and Walter go to get their sons and Harlan taunts Nathan. So Rev. Walter punches Harlan and throws a cigarette on him.
