Trick-or-treaters go to Jake's house and he refuses to answer the door. When they persist, he answers, revealing that it's a cop who needs his help. The officer drives him to a crime scene. Mr. and Mrs. Warden have been murdered. Their 9 year-old autistic son Tim is in the house with a bloody knife. Jake refuses to help because he's retired. But when they are going cart Tim away, he feels bad and does a series of funny impressions to calm the boy down and get him to hand over the knife. He also does a card trick. One of the cops finds the Warden's daughter Sylvie barely conscious, bloody and hiding in a closet.
