Romulus digs through dumpsters. He hallucinates that the Chrysler Building emits glowing rays. He thinks he sees the man with no face, but it's just a homeless guy he knows named Matthew. They go into his cave and talk over a fire. Matthew says a man named Leppenraub, a photographer, killed the guy, a man named Scotty. And that he was tortured, which we see quick glimpses of.
