Kate gets away from the creature and it appears to have left her alone. But that's just a ruse. It attacks her as soon as she tries to get away. Kate throws a grenade into its mouth and it explodes. Kate and Sam run away. The alien spacecraft powers down. They step out of the chasm and they make a plan to drive to the Russian station, which is about 50 miles away. Kate notices that Sam has his earring in the wrong ear--he's not human. Kate burns him up. She gets in an all-terrain vehicle, the screen goes to black.
