Life proceeds at the gas station. Then one night, Chrissy asks Jerry to read her a story. She tells him she "met a wizard" earlier that day. This reflects something the dead girl had said before she died. The wizard gave Chrissy chocolate and invited Chrissy to meet him the next day. Jerry checks in on Lori, who is in a deep sleep.
