Frank shows Marguerite the plans for the nightclub. She's really excited and wants to be a performer for him; Frank hurts her feelings by saying she can perform on amateur night. Julie and the hitchhiker walk through the fields, drinking. It turns out that the hitchhiker is one of Frank's old army buddies. Julie pretends she doesn't know Frank. Frank returns to the hotel to find Julie and the hitchhiker drunkenly taking a bath together. Frank flips out and accidentally electrocutes both of them by knocking a heater unit into the tub. He then digs graves and buries them; burning their clothes. Just after he's done, Marguerite shows up with tenderloin scraps for the cougar.
